I had great sympathy for the Austrian game developer Clock Tone Software when I reported their previous game, Avencast: Rise of the Mage. Avencast was namely a highly entertaining and reasonably innovative action-RPG in the Diablo-style, which was so very unfortunate to be launched simultaneously with Hellgate: London. And even though Hellgate: London proved a disappointment, supplied the so greedy of attention in the media and among players that there was little left for Avencast. Although it was actually a better game for grand fantasia gold.
Now that Clock Tone has released its second action RPG they are struggling in many ways with the same problem, only that time it was enacted last year’s release Torchlight that takes a lot of attention. There’s one significant difference. Torchlight is in fact a very good game, and it is something you really can not say whether the Clock Stone’s latest, Greed: Black Border.
